Daddy Daughter Dance in Lititz

Jaylee was lucky enough to have Jason take her to a Daddy Daughter Dance in Lititz tonight.
She is really growing into such a beautiful young lady!!!
I love her dress, she just shines!!
Of course, I took way too many pix and the house, and Jason didn't take near enough pix at the dance...
I suppose that is because they were busy dancing the entire time.
There was a dance contest and they took 3rd place...
they had to dance on the dance floor, just the two of them, in front of everyone!!!!!!!
I would have been terrified!

We decorated her hair with a pretty rose from our garden.

GI Dr Consult

We met Dr Kuhn today-
What a nice Dr...
unlike some of the others we have met.

Basically, he believes that it IS a medical condition causing Jackson to not like eatting.  It could be  a few things... the most obvious being reflux.  It could also be eosinophilic esophagitis, celiacs disease or esophagitis (irritation) caused by his salt supplements.  (http://www.eosinophilicesophagitishome.org/)
The plan is to try a medicine called Carafate for 2 weeks (and cont. the Prevacid) to see if it improves his eatting. It coats the lining of the esophagus and can help in the event of reflux or irritation.
Then, when Jackson goes for his uro surgery in July (A WHOLE NOTHER STORY), the GI Dr will scope him down to his intestines and take 4 biopsies.
We also have to talk to his Kidney Dr about changing up his Salt ? maybe there is a tablet form?.
His medicine needs prior authorization from insurance before they will cover it ($200) so we have to wait until Tuesday to start it - bummer!!
But... we are finally getting somewhere.
YAY!!!!!

******************
When Dr Kuhn went to email Jackson's surgeon that he would be in on the surgery on June 21st, he told me that according to the computer, the surgery was scheduled for July 16th...?!?!?!?!?!?
I called the surgeon's office and the lady was very apologetic.  The surgeon decided to take some vacation time in July and apparently whoever rescheduled 48 patients, never bothered to call them and let them know!!!!  They are going to try to squeeze Jackson in sooner, if something opens up, since we were under the impression that his surgery would be done in a few weeks after our April 2nd appt.  At this rate, he'll have 3 more UTIs by July 16th!!
We're not stressing about it though... things seem to keep happening the way they should!

Jennibelle is 7!!!

Jennibelle felt very loved today!!!

She had a sleep over last Friday night.
This morning she woke and we gave her a gift...
NEW HIGH HEELS!!!!
She wore her other pair 7 days a week, and they were showing their age.

Then she was off to school.
Jason and I stuffed her book bag with balloons...
she sad she was VERY surprised when she found them at school.

Then I surprised her with a trip to Olive Garden for lunch -
she was nervous that she left school for just lunch, no Dr appt.
She got her usual... Fettucini Alfredo with Alfredo dipping sauce for bread sticks - and a chocolate milk. Yum!

After lunch, she found a very large package at the door from the Stringhams...
MORE BALLOONS!!!!
But... these balloons were filled with nirthday notes and money!
What a GREAT gift!!
She was super excited to see that a Happy Birthday Video was made just for her too...
We watched it 7 times in a row.

Daddy even gave her a lesson on driving the tractor - since she was seven.

Then was soccer practice, where the girls made a paddy wagon for her, sang happy birthday and celebrated with cupcakes.

We ended the evening with her treating Jaylee and I to appetizers and Rita's Water Ice.
A day full of food... you'd think it was MY birthday!!!!

We still have cake and ice cream with the Liounises on Memorial Day.

She's one lucky girl!
And we are one luckier family!!!!!!!!!

SpongeBob

Our 6th family member...

Our jokes, songs & conversations revolve around him and his lunacy!!
It was even one of Jackson's first words and his bed is covered in SB linens at the moment.
The girls say such funny things all the time... by now I know to just ask "Did you make that up, or SpongeBob?"  I am usually disappointed.

13th UTI

Mama 1
UTI 0 (technically 12)
Take that!!!

Caught it before any symptoms!!!

*BTW... Jackson can pee into a cup, on demand... anytime of day.  He's been doing this for about 2 months. I thought it was normal, apparently he is a freak of nature. Boy does that make me proud of him!!!

*******Update 5/22*******
So much for thinking we won!
His infection was reistant to the two antibiotics he recevied.
His urine was still testing + for lg leuks and trace blood.
I had the Pediatrician get the culture results and that's when we found out that...

We were once again defeated!!!!!

Darn... we are starting Amoxicillan for 10 days now.

Meg's Bachelorette Party

Well, my baby sister is getting married!!!!
Boy did we celebrate!

I hope they know how much I love them, even though I stink at actually telling them!

me, meg, rachel, lauren, brieanna, sabrina, mandy, tenille

we rented a nice SUV and a fantastic chauffeur!!!

First Stop... Bube's Brewery for a Murder Mystery Dinner
http://www.bubesbrewery.com/alois_murdermystery.htm
TWO THUMBS DOWN!!!!
BOO!!!!
Meg seemed to enjoy it, which makes it OK!
It was almost 3 hours long, the food stunk, only water was included in the price and sodas were $2.50, all the characters were psych patients and they kept screaming, and the whole layout was frustrating, and a lot of the humor was dirty humor... which was uncomfortable for me, sitting next to George's sisters!!!
Oh well!!!!!!

Then we grabbed pizza at Alley Kat while we waited for Debbie to get off work.
Yummy yummy pizza!!!!

We "ended" the night on the dance floor at The Belvedere.
I haven't danced in YEARS -
So. Much. Fun.

No party is a party, until the after-party-karaoke!!
It was only the 3 of us and Jason by then, but it was FUN.
Meg and Mandy singing Boom Boomm Pow.
Then around 4 am we decided to call it a night!!

JB's Sleep Over

Jennibelle was excited to have her first sleep over party!
Happy 7th beautiful girl!!!!

My beautiful daughters!!!
Jaylee had a picture made for Jenni at the Philadelphia Zoo, a while back.

Serenity

Layla

Morgan

Natalie

Allison

Our $6 "piniata"
worked fantastic, by the way!

Jackson liked his first piniata!!
He's licking a tootsie pop.

Morgan loved the candy too!

Jenni decorated with a "night at the movies" theme.

She's fullof hot air,m so we were surpried when she had to blow 3 times to get 7 candles out!!!
I have NEVER met anyone that talks as much as she does!!!

I thought that the girls were almost asleep, until I heard a bunch of little feet... and then I stumbled upon a Dance Party!!!

Fancy morning breakfast of doughnouts before we all headed out to Jenni's soccer game to cheer her on!

Brian Came to PA

It was great having Brian with us for the weekend. And we kept him busy!!!!  I know how much Jason misses him...

The boys...

Most of our business revolved around food!!!  We had to take him to Rita's WaterIce, Tomato Pie Cafe and Carrabba's!!  Yummy.

Mother's Day 2012

I know that Mom's "say" that they want to spend their Mother's Day with their kids...
But I got what I totally wanted for Mother's Day...7.5 hours of uninterrupted sleep.  I worked all night, so I slept and when I woke at 1, we headed to Uncle Brian's hotel pool for 2 hours. It was F.U.N.

This may sound like exaggeration... but Jason and Brian then made the BEST STEAK DINNER...
Think I liked it?!?!?!?!?

Yum yum yum.

Then we had dessert at Rita's - luckily they had my favorite - Strawberry!!!
Jason and the kids allowed me to have such a nice, relaxing day!!
