Oh my, oh my.
It’s been 4+ months since October 19, 2019.
Jennibelle is still not back on the Rugby field.
She was injured in the last Fall season rugby game. It was pouring and muddy and it looked so fun... until she didn’t stand up. I know her, so I could tell it was serious by the way she was acting. She didn’t swell up right away and the Trainer evaluated her at the field, told her to ice it and then said she’d be ok for the second half!! And here we are, 4 months later.
She broke her Talus bone, which is the bone deep inside your ankle, that connects your foot to your leg. It hardly ever breaks! She also ripped a few ligaments on the outside of her ankle. It appears that it was a double injury- her ankle when the wrong way in and then went the wrong way out. OUCH.
She’s been in PT twice a week since the beginning of 2020 and they’ve been very happy with her progress. They’re now allowing her to run- in straight lines. Their goal now is to build up the injured ligaments/muscles supporting them so that she does not get reinjured right away.
She’s bummed that she’s missing Frost Bite Tournament this weekend but hoping to be back to 109% by the end of March.
