Jack woke me the other night because he didn’t feel well. While he soaked in a warm tub and I struggled to stay awake, he asked why I was tired. “What do you even do all day?” he asked, innocently, not being a jerk. So, I decided to keep track. Boy did I pick the right day to do it, LOL. I was busy!!
2am: up with Javk for 2nd time, c/o and pain with nausea. He Laid in a warm bath for 1 hour. Checked his urine- WNL. Gave him Zofran 2mg.
4:30 back to sleep
6:00 make sure girls are up
6:30 Jimmy awake, which is really unusual. Got him shower, breakfast and dressed for Dr
0730: myself in shower and ready to go. Stripped and washed jimmy’s bedding since I forgot to put a diaper on him last night.
0815: switched laundry. left with Jimmy for GI Dr in Hershey. Jack asleep still.
1030: driving home, Jimmy c/o belly hurting, napping. Got a call from Jason... Jack screaming in pain with nausea. He gave him Zofran 2mg. I Called Pediatrician to schedule sick visit for Jack.
1115: home. Jimmy pale. Jackson pain controlled. Took him to register Jimmy for Kindergarten, on the way to Dr appt.
1230: text from Jason “Jimmy just puked all over our bed”
1300: Dr appt, Jack in pain with a lot of nausea... until Dr walked in. Assessment unremarkable. Thinks Augment from strep last week messed up his belly. Suggests gas medicine.
1400: Walmart to get gas medicine. Adm simethicone to Jack. Picked up Doritos b/c Jadon ate the snack for wrestling banquet.
1430: home, jack rolling on floor in pain. Tylenol adm. laundry changed. Dishwasher emptied and restarted.
1500: Jimmy on stairs crying/ puked Lg amt water into bucket.
1515: picked Jaylee up at school to drive her to lacrosse practice.
1605: home
1615: Jack pain is better. Jimmy puked lg amt water again. Laundry switched, 2 loads of clothes folded, put away. Talked to Jenni about her day at school.
1645: Jimmy puked sm amount bile. Zofran 2mg adm.
1730: left with Jimmy to take Jaylee from lacrosse to rugby. Jason took Jack to wrestling banquet to take his pic to be in the newspaper. Jack in pain but no nausea.
1815: Jimmy woke during rugby, took sips of water, back to sleep.
1910: drive me Jaylee and Jimmy to wrestling banquet, but are too late so we head to CVS to get prescription.
1920: home, Jimmy asks for water, given sips. Jack feeling some pain, no nausea.
1940: Jimmy lg vomit. Looks dehydrated. Urine dipped-max ketones, everything else WNL. Pediatrician called- “if he’s puking still at 10, go to ER”
2030: Jimmy Asleep, forcing 1cc h20 every 10 mins. Remade my bed and his bed.
2100: I left for 8’ work shift.
2200: working. texted jason- Jimmy asleep, no puking, tolerating sips of water. Jackson puked XXL amt all over bedroom carpet.
2345: texted Jason “Everyone is fine and sleeping.”
0600: done working, drive 30 mins home.
So Jack... now you know!! And I’m counting down my work hours until I can get my 2 hours of sleep before I go cheer the boys on at stage Pine Wood Derby..
