Philadelphia Zoo
June 2009
We bought a Zoo pass this year and have already gotten our money's worth!
The girls and I took took Jason's folks for Easter
And this weekend Jason got to go with us!!!
Jaylee brought a friend too.
We had the BEST time!!!!
Since Jaylee's friend was there,
we let the girls get their faces painted.
Usually, I'm way too cheap!!
We always picnic lunch and take our
own water bottles just to save some cash!
Jennibelle (like usual) wanted her face to look
just like "Whatever Katrina wants!"
She LOVES when the big girls include her
and wants to do whatever they want.
You should see the way she looks at them with adoration.
And she laughs pathetically when they're funny,
trying to impress them.
It is priceless!!
Jaylee (true to form) wanted her painting
to be different from everybody elses...
especially different than Jenni's.
Night and Day... yet the best of friends!!!
The Stringham Butterfly and Flower Power.
The three gals... all dolled up.I regret that we waited until our way out of the park to let them do it!

Jennibelle is so very interested in being fancy and pretty.
She goes overbored with dresses, makeup, painted nails,
hair decorations, and jewelry.
Most mornings it is a fight to get her to wear something half-sensible.

Jaylee is just about done with Kindergarten.
She has really blossomed this year...
so very smart and very obedient.
She loves to read and write and she still loves to swing
(We're talking hours a day!)
She has really matured the last few weeks into a beautiful young girl!
Her eyes are even taking on a shade of green!!

Jaylee and her friend Katrina.
We were having issues with some of Jaylee's friends not wanting to include Jennibelle.
Katrina has always been so kind to Jenni.

Here the girls are checking out a bear.
Katrina had never been to a zoo.
With Jenni, you'd think every time was her first time!
Jaylee loves to list off all of the facts she remembers about each animal.

When we first entered the zoo, the girls were blown away by this peacock.
Then they were blown away when they saw Mommy peacock with her babies.
Then they were BLOWN away by... pigeons.

Jaylee always says that she knows how to smell Monkey...
"J-E-N-N-I-B-E-L-L-E"
I guess she was right!
Now Jenni jokes that she knows how to spell monkey...
"M-O-M"

The children's Petting Zoo is always a hit!
Jenni always goes straight to brushing the goats and telling us how much they love her and like when she brushes them and that they think she's so pretty and that they missed her when she was gone and... ... ...
Jaylee always goes straight to feeding them.
And in true Stringham fashion, we don't pay the $0.50 for the goat food,
Jaylee scrounges it off the ground!!
I've taught her well!

Jenni got eaten by a frog!

I remember well the Philadelphia Zoo. It is a great place! We really love the pictures and especially the stories. We can read them over and over again. The girls are growing up so fast and are beautiful!
Wow! The pictures are beautiful and I LOVE the face paint! Super duper cute!
What good pictures. You girls are so beautiful! Looks like the zoo was a blast. We had a pass for the last two years, but decided to wait till Brody is bigger to renew it again. The zoo is one of our favorite places ever. Maybe because I am raising a couple of monkeys myself.
